From Dairy Farm to Distillery: A Veteran’s Journey
After two decades of running a dairy farm, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Kim McLaughlin transitioned into the oil and gas industry in Western Pennsylvania. When that industry slowed and he was laid off, Kim seized the moment to follow a lifelong passion: distilling. After navigating a lengthy approval process, McLaughlin Distillery opened its doors in 2016—marking the beginning of a new chapter rooted in tradition, resilience, and craft.
